To add a picture so it will appear in the encounter summary, the picture will need to be entered under the Encounter Notes (Patient Chart -> Encounter -> Notes).
From Encounter -> Notes -> New Note (bottom of screen) -> you must type at least 1 character + paste picture -> Select "Add"
NOTE: to Copy and Paste a picture, you can do any of the following actions with your image file (i.e. png or jpg):
- From the folder, right-click on the file name and choose copy (or use ctrl-c) and then in New Note, right-click and choose paste (or use ctrl-v)
- From the folder, left-click on the file and drag it into the New Note field
If you first open the file, the application with which you open it may or may not allow the copy/paste.
It will then appear in the Encounter Summary as below:
