Getting Medication error: "We are unable to check the Scheduled Drug Information for this Medication ..."

If you are getting an error while trying to transmit a medication that reads:

"We are unable to check the Scheduled Drug Information for this Medication [medication name]. You cannot transmit this Prescription electronically. Please Print this Medication"

 

This error message typically occurs when the medication is free-texted in the field, so the EMR does not know the proper coding for the medication to be able to transmit it.

 

The best thing to do is to have the provider search for the medication again and make sure to select one from the drop down list:
