Entering NDC Codes for CPT Codes

In order to get vaccines and medications paid on claims, the NDC, Quantity and Quantity unit must be included on the claim. In ReLi Med EMR, you can map these to a CPT code.

Navigate to Admin -> Encounter Related Lists -> CPT Code entry and select or add the CPT code that needs these fields.

NOTE: The NDC code entered on Inventory management do not get pulled into claims, only onto the Immunization screen within Encounters -> Immunizations for charting purposes.

NDC codes MUST be 11 digits. This should be XXXXX-XXXX-XX so 5 digits, then 4 digits, then 2 digits.

If the vial only has 4 before the hyphen, you would add a leading 0, same if the digits between the hyphens only had 3, you add a 0 in the beginning of this section.

Then finally, when you save it in the CPT screen you would take out the hyphens.

For example, if you see on the vial  43528-003-05, then you would enter 43528000305 on the CPT Code Entry screen.
