There are a few reports that will give you this number:

Navigate to Reports, then expand the Patient node and select one of the three Patient Census reports:

- Patient Census Grouped By can be run by active date and grouped by one of the following choices: Preferred Provider, Zip Code, or Primary Insurance

This will give you a total count for each Group

- Patient Census Alphabetical and Patient Census by MR Number do not provide a total count, but rather list the active patient as per the Active date in that particular Sort order

- Patients By Insurance, this one accepts Encounter Date Range and optionally allows for selecting a particular Insurance and/or Practice Location and give a total count per insurance

      - Patients By Insurance Details accepts the same parameters as the above one, but will list each patient that is included in the count per insurance

- Patients By Status can run report by either Active or Inactive status of a patient chart. This will not provide you a total count but rather a list of these Active or inactive patients.
