If a patient shows as an Exclusion to a Clinical Quality Measure, why do they still show on the Health Maintenance Due Report?

Some Clinical Quality Measures are tied to Health Maintenance - meaning you can document/update a health maintenance item for a patient and if it is mapped to a Clinical Quality Measure, it will get picked up in the Clinical Quality Measure Results. If you need help mapping a Health Guideline,

please contact ReLiMed Support.

However, typically a patient will get counted as an exclusion due to very particular rules / programming for the Clinical Quality Measure. You would need to reference the hyperlink in the above screen to see the rules around exclusions.

For example, females that have had a full hysterectomy would show in the denominator and as a exclusion for the Cervical Cancer Screening measure CMS124. However, the patient's health maintenance would still trigger showing a required pap smear if they fit the age 21 to 65 as shown above.

In order to not keep following and asking your patient, you can mark this Health Maintenance item for your patient as "Not Tracking"

First select the "Edit" button on the Health Maintenance item and then select the "Not Tracking" button. It will prompt you for a reason.

You can also use the Edit button to change the frequency of an item. For example, the rule for Colonoscopy is every 10 years, but for someone with a family history of colon cancer, you might need to change the frequency to every 5 years.
