What do the Age Gender Classifications mean in ROS and PE Templates?

The Age Gender Classification in the ROS and PE Template building screens refer to the youngest (or minimum) age and gender that the template will apply to. See below for the age ranges for each.

 

Therefore, if you want a template to apply to a Problem/Chief Complaint and not matter what age the patient is, then use "Infant Unisex" as the Age Gender Classification and then select the appropriate Chief Complaint under the "Chief Complaints" column

 

 

  • Infant (0 - 12 mos)
  • Toddler (1 yr - 3 yrs)
  • Preschool (3 to 5 yrs)
  • School Age (5 yrs - 8 yrs)
  • Preteen (8 yrs - 12 yrs)
  • Teen (13 - 18 yrs)
  • Adult (18 yrs and above)
