You could have a scenario where the patient has decided to go to their own Lab of choice and you will not have to draw the labs for the patient, but the orders are still showing up on your Dashboard -> Orders Management -> Pending Labs.
In this case, you can simply mark the lab “Active” which will keep the lab order on the patient chart but remove it from your Pending Labs Orders screen.
Click on the “Make Active” button for the lab order and it will be removed from your Pending Labs List.
The Lab Order will still be on the patient’s chart and when the lab result comes in, it can be attached to the Lab Order to mark the lab as Results Received / Reviewed as appropriate.
