How to move Appointments

This is particularly useful if you have a provider leaving your practice and need to move all of their future appointments to another provider.

First, you will need to make sure the user has the proper privilege to be able to do this function. Go to Admin -> Personnel -> Group Privileges and select the privilege group. Then find “Move Appointments” under the Scheduler Functional Area Group heading and remember to save any changes.

 

 

Navigate to Scheduler and select “Move Appointments” from the Scheduler Options menu:

Select the “From” resource and “To” resource from the dropdown menus. Note that you can click on the checkbox to “Show Inactive Resources” in case you already deactived the provider which automatically inactivates the associated resource.

 

Then select the From date as a minimum as you can leave the To date unselected to move all appointments from the To date through forever. Note that you will have to choose a From date that is in the future. You will be prompted to make sure this is what you want to do:

Select Yes and then you are finished! You will be shown a success message with the count of appointments that were moved:

Any appointment that is moved by this feature will have comment explaining what resource and when it was moved:
